SWAGATAM, or Welcome to the First Board Meeting of South West Michigan Telugu Association Inc. We are required by Law to officiate form a Board of Directors, Adopt the By-laws, Determine Roles and Responsibilities of the members of the board.
We shall decide on the Frequency of our meetings, Form Committees, Plan Fundraising Events, Adopt a Mission Statement and take an Oath of Trust Building for our Community Youth.
T in SWAGATAM stands for Trust building through Tolerance, Talent Recognition, Teaching, Training, Traditions promoting the Cultural Awareness through Mother Tongue Teaching, Telugu Classes, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Sanskrit, etc., Promoting Social Justice, Social Equity, Self Respect, Inclusivity, Women Lives Matter, Primary Care, Cancer Care, P2P Campaigns, Fundraising Activities, Confidence building, Community Awareness, etc.
We have to tell our own Community Members, this message Again and Again and Again, Relentlessly, Fearlessly, Assertively, Aggressively, Respectfully, Empathetically, with one Common Purpose to tell everyone that We Are All part of this Community.
